Holly Harrison ~ Vibe Rant

What does the rhythm of our routine daily squabbles look like? Western Sydney composer and drummer Holly Harrison imagines just that in Vibe Rant (2016), which is brought to life in this short animation by artist/videographer Su-An Ng.

Harrison playfully abstracts one day in the life of a squabbling couple, exploring the quirks and nuances of a settled relationship through cacophonous worlds of shape, colour and texture – some of it redolent of Modernist art.

The video was commissioned by Sydney-based Ensemble Offspring, who are also the musicians in this performance.
